RFI recently won a contract to blast clean several sturgeon bases on the Chelsea Embankment in London.
Many layers of paint were removed by our mobile blast cleaning unit in order to provide a sound clean metal surface ready for re painting.
The bases had fine details demanding concise shot blasting in order to obtain clean metal
Below is a picture of the bases sheeted up ready for blasting, you will note the scaffolding was required to over hang the embankment in order to gain access to the rear surfaces of the bases.

RFI recently blast cleaned and re sprayed the bulk head, chassis, crash beams, fuel tank, tail lift, curtain supports, front bumper and wheels on this heavily corroded lorry.

Work commenced with high pressure blasting to remove paint and rust back to bare metal
The blasted metalwork was then sprayed with a high build zinc phosphate primer followed by two coats of quick drying enamel spray finish.
