Vaqua Blasting has been refered to as many things ie vapour blasting, aqua blasting, wet honing and vapour honing,

Regularly specified as a pre treatment to many painting and plating processes vaqua blasting is also widely used within the aerospace component industry and is also highly favoured by classic car and motorcycle enthusiasts wishing to clean and revive tired and contaminated alloy components to an "as new" condition.

Vaqua blasting generally consists of a fine glass bead incorporated in an aqueous solution. The bead solution is propelled at the substrate via pressurised air through the blast nozzle.

The aqueous solution cushions the impact of the beads thus preventing excessive surface wear yet allowing efficient cleaning of the surface and providing an aesthetically pleasing satin sheen finish.

Below you will find a couple of examples of items cleaned by our Vaqua Blast process, one of which was heavily painted and the other generally suffering from oxidation and engine bay contamination.
