Selecting seals can be an arduous task. We all have our 4 inch thick seal bibles offering every single seal profile that has ever existed for every conceivable application.
It’s daunting. And then there are the many manufacturers to choose from.
How do you choose the right seal for your project?
Many suppliers expect you to do the hard work and decipher the seal types, materials such as PTFE, PEEK etc.
Just getting the information together can take up lots of your valuable time, that’s before you even send it out to get quotes.
Maybe you don’t need a quote. Perhaps you’re just at the design stage and want to ensure the seal you need actually exists. Again it’s a deep drill into the depths of a thick wad of paper, together with lots of notes and uncertainty.
We have been there ourselves which is why we decided to put together a seal selector tool to take that uncertainty away.
